I’m afraid I’ve fallen way behind keeping post updated on the blog. I noticed that Michele from Humboldt Service Dogs had posted some very good responses to peoples questions. I contacted her and she has agreed to act as editor and help keep you posted on the latest Service Dog News. Take a moment to help me welcome Michel by leaving a comment below.

Dear Service dog service; HELP! We have both our King Charles S. registered “SERVICE DOGS” through your services. We live in a Condo and some “people thru their attorneys” are attemping to take away one of our SERVICE DOGS, becase they feel we voilate the condo rules for only one dog! What federal agency can we contact to gain their law enforcement help to prevent these people from removing one of our “registered and Doctor approved (2) sevice dogs?

Roger, under the fair housing act, the condo or apartment cannot impose a limit on the number of dogs you can have. The registration isn’t the most important thing; just be sure you have doctors’ letters with both dogs. You can call the ADA to begin to see how you can proceed.

Sincerely,

Larry and Buster

Michelle – A friend told me about this program, and I had to Google it because there has been no advertising that I could find about it! Can you investigate and get the word out?

Hi Michelle, I am looking for the wording for a physician to write a “prescription” for our son’s service dog. Any suggestions. Thanks for your help and welcome.
Sarah
