A young man living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy has learned he will receive a service dog from the Canine Assistance Program. The dog will help him with everyday tasks most people take for granted.
17-year-old Russ Cobb met another service dog and its companion yesterday, just to see how his life is about to change.
The companion, Lisa Vault, says the dog will make a huge difference for Russ.
MilkBone and Bi-Lo are sponsoring the dog for Russ. The sponsorship will cover all veterinarian costs for the life of the dog.
Russ will get his new best friend after attending a training camp.
